COACH, I NEED A SUB!
(Improving your substitutions game with CSI)
If you are attending this year's Product Show at Greensfelder Recreation Complex, Queeny Park, join Steve Gantner and me as we present "Coach, I Need a Sub" a CSI playbook for improving your specifications game. We'll start at 8:30 AM before the show floor opens, and we promise to wrap up by 10:00 so you'll have plenty of time to see all the tables. You can earn 1.5 hr LU from AIA-CES for listening to us and an additional 1.0 LU for attending the show.
We'll be talking about the entirety of the substitution process starting with the original product selection during design and ending with incorporating the substituted product in the contract documents during construction. It's free, and open to all attendees at all experience levels - from those who request subs to those who approve them, and everyone in between.
Bring your questions, and maybe you can learn something from us. Bring your comments, criticisms, and complaints and for sure we will learn something from you. Substitutions are an important part of the construction process that, if properly managed and clearly understood, can benefit all parties and improve overall project success.
Attendees will earn 1.5 hr LU from AIA-CES.
