What's New in the 2024-2025 Program Year

  • 1.  What's New in the 2024-2025 Program Year

    Posted 08-19-2024 08:16 AM

    Everything is earlier this year!

Regular programs are earlier in the month. The second Wednesday of the Month will be our typical meeting, instead of the third Wednesday as was usual for several years. We'll start this in November.

We'll start off even earlier. The first program is September 4, the first Wednesday of the month due to scheduling conflicts, and our next meeting is on Tuesday October 8, jointly with the Missouri Gateway Green Building Council.

Programs start and finish earlier. We're starting the programs at 5:30 PM (doors open at 5 PM for registration and socializing) and wrap up at 7:00 PM to give you a chance to stop by after work, and still get home at a reasonable hour. If you want to continue discussing the program, hang around after for drinks and more in depth conversation with our members and speakers.

The same venue, and new venues. Half of our programs are set for The Masonry Institute as usual, but we're also on the road at Washington University, at McCarthy offices, touring a pre-fabrication facility, and perhaps elsewhere. Stay tuned.

Still the best bargain in town. Our meetings are free again this year to all, members and non-members alike, and we will again be live-streaming as many as practicable.

Here's what's on tap for the first half of our schedule:

    • September 4 - "Let's Experience Collaboration" Steve Gantner, Legos, Pizza, and Beer - what more do you need? Register for SEPT
    • October 8 - "A Forum on Climate Action" Panel discussion jointly presented with Missouri Gateway GBC.  Register for OCT
    • November 13 - We're putting together a panel on legal and Insurance Issues related to sustainability.
    • January 8 - "Economic Forecast 2025" Len Toenjes from AGC is back with his annual prognosis for construction.

    Save the dates:

    • February 12
    • March 12
    • April 8
    • May 14

    Hope to see you soon,
