Our program committee has been busy over the summer preparing not only for our first chapter meeting for 2023-24, "THE WHO, HOW, AND WHY OF BUILDING CODES," but also for a full season of programs related to this year's topic, "Codes and Standards." As usual, we'll meet on the third Wednesday of the Month from September through May (except for December - stay tuned for info about the annual Holiday Celebration that month). Meetings start at 6:00 PM, but we open up at 5:30 for a social hour with food and drink - thanks to our generous sponsors. Our meetings are free again this year, and we will again be live-streaming as many of them as practicable.
Here's what's in store for the next three meetings:
October 18 - "Preserving Our Historic and Cultural Heritage" [Codes Session 2]
November 15 - "Codes for Cold-Formed Steel in Mid-Rise Buildings" [Codes Session 3]
January 17 - "Economic Forecast 2024"
In February, we'll continue with Codes and Standards related topics. Follow us here for more information. In the mean time, hope to see you on September 27 either in person or via Zoom for our introduction to Building Codes.
