Description: An introduction and a tutorial on the use of the new Architectural Woodwork Standards (AWS), Second Edition to specify architectural cabinetry. Take control of woodwork quality; understand the cost effectiveness of quality; visually identify compliant vs. noncompliant architectural woodwork products. Each seminar participant will receive a complimentary digital copy of the latest AWS manual.

Bill is a Past President of the Architectural Woodworking Institute (AWI) Quality Certification Corporation, and was directly involved with creating the new ANSI certified Architectural Woodworking Standards as a member of the AWI Technical Committee and the AWI’s Joint Standards Committee.

A Past Secretary/Treasurer for CSI’s South East Region, Past President of the Charlotte Chapter of CSI, and a frequent presenter at national, regional, and chapter CSI events, Bill is a Registered Architect and Principal for R&M Group Architects in Charlotte, NC specializing in quality control, Building Code research, specifications, facility assessments, and ADA investigations.

Bill has been teaching construction courses at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte in both the College curriculum and Corporate and Continuing Education Departments for twenty-eight years. He has also taught the CSI certification programs for Construction Document Technician (CDT) and Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA).
